What are Rafael Nadal and Nico Rosberg doing together, on the yacht of the winner of 21 Grand Slam titles?
The 2016 F1 world champion, who decided to retire at the height of his success, interviewed the most successful player (to date) in tennis history right at his ‘home’. The result was a pleasant conversation between tennis and motorsport, between life and sport. With an interesting exchange of visions and some phrases to remember, like when Rafa admitted to having doubts even now, despite the success that accompanied his career: “Whoever has no doubts – said the Spaniard – is an arrogant person.
Most of the things that happen to you or to others are not totally clear and there is a need to ask questions, to have doubts”. The day ended with a best-of-five points match of table tennis, won by Nadal 3-2.
It seems that Nico was disappointed, because ping pong is one of his favorite pastimes, ever since he challenged his father in endless matches before racing. So, the two immediately granted themselves a second match, this time won by Rosberg.
Tennis and Formula 1 together therefore, as often happens, more often than one might think.
That’s what is happening in the Imola 2023 event, from the idea born by @CCLabConsultantLtd, created by @CCLabItalia, in association with @autodromoimola. Tennis on the Racetrack is always in pole position.
